Balfour Beatty reached out to MultiMatts for support on a road network project in Milton Keynes, where a pedestrian walkway had to be temporarily removed to carry out essential road repairs.

To maintain the safe and accessible passage for pedestrians, wheelchair users, and cyclists, we supplied approximately 150 square metres of grey Portapath for a 12-week period. The plastic flooring proved to be an ideal solution—lightweight, easy to transport in square metre sections or rolls, and quick to install by their single person. It was securely fixed to the ground at the roadside using small metal pins, ensuring stability and safety throughout the duration of the works.

The temporary walkway provided reliable access until the permanent footpath could be reinstated, and the solution was well received by the project team.
