Temporary maintenance works were undertaken at the Cambridge United Football Club grounds during the off-season, necessitating careful planning to protect the existing surfaces while allowing essential vehicular access while building work was carried out.

To address this, a portable roadway solution was required to safeguard the grounds from potential damage caused by the movement of various site vehicles. After assessing the site conditions and project requirements, we recommended the use of our K-Mat Heavy Duty Roadway Panels, known for their durability and effectiveness in ground protection. These Temporary Access and Ground Protection Mats were supplied on a hire basis, tailored to meet the client’s specific needs. The mats remained in place for approximately 7 to 8 weeks, providing reliable access until the maintenance was completed and the grounds were fully prepared for the upcoming football season.
