During the summer, MultiMatts and Elite GSS (part of the Elite Group of companies) worked together to help with a valued client and their project. They contacted us in need of a temporary track which spanned the entire length of their site, leading to a large quantity of matting required. Further to this, the ground was uneven, sensitive and damaged due to the plant already driving over the area.

The client wanted the route to be wide enough for large plant and machinery, while being able to support the weight effectively. The ground was already dusty due to the weather being dry, so a strong grip was needed to reduce the vehicles’ skidding. The client wanted the matting professional installation, and that’s where Elite GSS stepped in.

Firstly, to meet the requirements of the customer, we supply our E-Mats due to their dual-sided grip and 80-tonne load-bearing surface. They are efficiently connected by 2/4 way connectors to make a wide route for plant and machinery. The Elite GSS team installed the matting for us while our team was busy on a different project, showing the benefit of our companies working within a group, always striving for the best experience for our customers!
