For a large-scale wind farm project, our customer required a robust temporary roadway and loading area solution to accommodate frequent deliveries of heavy plant and equipment exceeding 80 tonnes.
To meet this demand, we supplied K-Mat Heavy Duty Roadway Panels, which were used to construct both access routes and a substantial loading/unloading zone. In areas with particularly soft ground, the panels were laid over a geotextile membrane to prevent mud and debris from surfacing and to reduce lateral slippage.
The system was in place for six weeks during the construction of the wind turbines and performed exceptionally well. The customer was extremely pleased with the durability, effectiveness, and overall support provided by the solution.

Installation
The mats were installed by our dedicated team, who first laid a Geotextile Membrane to prevent mud and debris from surfacing onto the matting. The K-Mats were then securely connected using Metal Straps to ensure a stable and reliable installation.
