Rok Construction approached MultiMatts to provide a long-term ground protection solution for a roadway adjacent to a property development site, where construction was scheduled to take place over a six-month period. The system needed to support regular access for medium to lightweight equipment, as well as everyday cars and small vans, without causing damage to the existing tarmac surface.
We supplied over 300 DuraMatt Light/Medium Duty Access Mats to construct a medium-sized temporary roadway over the existing tarmac road.
The mats were installed efficiently by a team of 2–4 personnel over a two-day period. The result was a highly effective access route that left the road surface undamaged. The customer liked the outcome that eliminated any unnecessary costs, should the road become damaged and need reinstating.

Installation
The mats were installed by our team, with small groups of workers over two days. They were securely connected using Heavy Duty Cable Ties for bound strength.
