Plain Steel Road Plates provide a solid, temporary cover for open trenches and excavations, allowing traffic to pass safely while work is paused or ongoing. They are a reusable alternative to backfilling or fencing off work zones, helping to maintain access and reduce disruption.
Typical Applications
- Roadworks and trench covers
- Utility and telecoms maintenance
- Temporary crossings for vehicles and pedestrians
- Emergency access routes
- Depot and site access
Installation
- Lifting: 4 lifting eyes (1 in each corner)
- Positioning: Requires mechanical lifting equipment
- Connectors: Standard U-pin, Standard 2-Way Connectors / Standard 4-Way Connectors, or Heavy Duty Cable Ties
- Duration: Approx. 3–5 minutes per plate (depending on site conditions)
- Storage/transport: Store each panel flat and can be stacked. Delivery on lorries that requires mechanical handling/offloading with apparatus such as lifting booms with slings
